Ambassador Development Worker

SHE Scotland is our aspiration as well as our name. We are actively developing our programmes in other areas of Scotland. The new role of Ambassador Development Worker will be key to the future development of the SHE Ambassador Training in Schools and communities.
The post holder will be responsible for the development of the SHE Scotland Ambassador Schools and Community Programme. It is your role as our Ambassador Development Worker to embed a culture of continuous improvement and innovation
CONTRACT: 1 Year – Fixed Term Contract SALARY: £26, 000- 28,000 FTE per annum (SJC Points 47 – 50) Pro rata for 25hours
HOURS: Part-time 25 hours per week. HOLIDAY ENTITLEMENT: 25 days pro rata LOCATION: Based in Edinburgh.
Key Responsibilities and Tasks:
Recruit, train and support females as Ambassadors
Ensure that all Ambassadors are supported, monitored and their progress is documented where necessary.
Support the development of training programmes and training materials which develop learning opportunities for the most vulnerable members of the community which are empowering, educational and participative
Work closely with other members of the team to develop ambassador opportunities within third sector, statutory and non-statutory organisations
Work in partnership with services/partners including Edinburgh College to deliver Ambassador and Mentoring Programmes
Support young people to gain qualifications to recognise their achievements and evidence the impact of the project
During Covid-19 restrictions and following Scottish Government guidelines, we require the post holder to work flexibly using a blended learning approach. This will involve working from home and delivering sessions digitally but also delivering face to face sessions subject to risk assessments.
